Today, Trish was quoted by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch after speaking at a student-led rally against anti-abortion legislation on Saturday.
Her excerpt is as follows:
“Trish Gunby, a Democratic candidate to fill a vacancy in Missouri’s 99th District in St. Louis County, said the bill represented a regression that conflicted with the rights established under the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade.
‘I did not think that 40 years ago, as a teenager, I would have more rights than I do today,’ she said.”
The rally was a rousing success for both the campaign and STL Pro-Choice Student Activists, the group that organized the event. Trish stands firmly alongside the students in their quest to protect a woman’s right to choose.
